SPCA Selangor is a member of the Open Wing Alliance, a global coalition of animal protection organisations working to improve poultry welfare, and today we joined the global campaign to pressure Hard Rock International, which has 3 cafes (Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, and Penang) and 1 hotel (Desaru Coast) in Malaysia, to make the switch to cage-free eggs as a step towards more sustainable sourcing and higher farm animal welfare standards!
Hard Rock claims to be a company founded on social purpose, with mottos that include ‘Love All-Serve All’ and ‘Take Time To Be Kind’. The disturbing reality, however, is that Hard Rock is profiting from the extreme abuse of millions of egg-laying hens suffering in its global supply chain.
Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore, we can all agree on the same thing: Until we can phase out and end animal agriculture, farm animals deserve to be treated more humanely!
Join us in letting the global leadership of Hard Rock know that we want higher farm animal welfare standards!
