Our officer attended this reported case of a neglected pet poodle, only to find out the entire family is facing domestic problems and feeling very hopeless. We have engaged the welfare workers who are trying to help this family out, and at the same time we have forwarded this case to the DVS. We are advising the owners to surrender the dog so it can be rehomed in a family who have the time and means to care for the dog well. We will follow up with the DVS officers about this case, and we hope for a good outcome for both the poodle and the family involved. This kind of work is so emotionally and physically draining, but someone has to do it!
