On Wednesday, we met with MPSJ officers, our 2nd meeting with them in recent months. We must credit this municipality for being the first to create a dedicated group represented by Councillors, Veterinarians, Rescuers, NGOs and concerned members of the public to establish a comprehensive stray management policy. Guidelines provided by the DVS based on the requirements of the new Animal Welfare Act are being carefully studied. The intention is to review the present by-laws, and update them to establish a humane and effective stray control system!
