Watch our first Public Service Announcement! Directed by the ground-breaking film-maker Yasmin Ahmad and sponsored by RSPCA International, this touching story is sure to bring a tear to your eyes. It is based on a true story of a young autistic boy and how his life was turned around when he got his first dog. Our second visit with AnimalCare to the Lotus Life Liberation Park in Bentong, to transport the second batch of 6 rescued Pulau Ketam dogs. The beautiful farm is now home to 13 Ketam dogs, 25 resident dogs, geese, goats, and more! The Ketam dogs who were severely malnourished and traumatized when we rescued them are now restored to health, and while still nervous around people they seem to be slowly improving - with a lot of love. patience and understanding from our volunteers! Our long-time volunteer Carrie Anne won a competition by hitz.fm and brought her birthday party to the animal shelter! The friendly hitz.fm cruisers engaged the staff and volunteers in several games, handing out great freebies ! Later on, we sang a birthday song for Carrie and everyone was treated to Domino’s Pizza. Carrie, thanks so much for sharing your special day with the animals, volunteers and staff at SPCA Selangor – we had such a riot!
