BERJAYA FOUNDERS DAY

We will be setting up a booth at the Berjaya Founder's Day event this Saturday! We are also chosen to be one of the beneficiaries, as we were last year.
The annual Berjaya Founder's Day celebration is all set to be held for the third time at Berjaya Times Square on Feb 23. Held in honour of the organisation's founder, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the day will see him giving out huge contributions to various NGOs. Among the many other recipients will be Sea Turtle Research Unit, Turtle Conservation Society, Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better, Animal Care, Malaysian Nature Society and a host of others
There will be a huge carnival with lots of exciting activities as well:
stage performances, special appearances by local celebrities, contests, and games. There will also be a lucky draw with exciting prizes, including hotel stays, to be won.

'THE ADVENTURES OF TABBY THE CAT' BOOK LAUNCH

MPH has just published an illustrated storybook for children that relates to animal abuse. The book is called "The Adventures of Tabby the Cat", and MPH will be holding a book launch at their 1 Utama outlet.
During the event, the book will be open for sale and RM1 will be donated to SPCA Selangor for every copy sold. SPCA Selangor staff will present a talk for children and also set up a booth to promote humane education!

ANIMAL WELFARE LEGISLATION & CSI WORKSHOP

Global Animal Welfare Solutions and SPCA Selangor are running workshops from 10am-2pm on the 19th & 20th March from 10am-2pm each day, in an attempt to educate members of the public on animal welfare laws in Malaysia as well as investigative methods.
These workshops are aimed at anyone from animal rescuers who might want to gather evidence to make a Police or DVS report, to veterinary surgeons who want to know more about how they can provide expert evidence, right through to members of the public who just want to know more about animal welfare both here and overseas.

�Don Quixote & International Ballet Gala�
14th, 15th & 16th January 2011
@ Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur
The full length classical ballet �Don Quixote� will be performed on 14/1/11 (Friday night) and 16/1/11 (Sunday matinee) while the �International Ballet Gala� will be on the 15/1/11 (Saturday night) at Istana Budaya. These two programs will showcase 25 international dancers (including international award winners) from the US, Australia, Japan, Thailand and Germany as well as more than 30 Malaysians. The shows will raise funds for SPCA Selangor and other charities!
