Simple steps to end animal suffering
There is so much animal abuse that occurs every second. What can I possibly do that can have any effect?

Don't contribute to animal suffering.
Before we can ask others to stop harming animals, we must try to eliminate all forms of animal cruelty in our lives :

- The best way to help animals is to stop eating them! About 44 billion animals are slaughtered for food every year. Please check out www.farmsanctuary.org and www.farmusa.org and www.ciwf.co.uk.

- Refuse economic cooperation with companies that conduct animal tests. By boycotting these companies and letting them know, you will send a loud and clear message that you will not fund animal cruelty. To learn which companies do and don't test on animals, please go to www.peta-online.org. About 70 million are tortured to death in laboratories every year.

- Refuse to wear animals. About 40 million animals are killed for fur every year.

  • Don't dump animals and help SPCA to reduce the homeless pets and strays. Animals do not deserved to be dumped like rubbish. Please do not dump your pet.
  • Please Neuter/Spay your pets. Unchecked breeding can lead to too many unwanted animals and strays that suffer very sad endings.
  • Educate yourself about animal exploitation. Pick up some of the following books and share them with friends:
    • Animal Liberation by Peter Singer
    • The Case for Animal Rights by Tom Regan
    • Vegan : The New Ethics of Eating by Eric Markus
  • Get involved in the animal welfare movement. Volunteer at local pro-animal organizations. Write and speak for animals.
  • Educate others about the plight of animals on factory farms, in labs, or other areas where they are exploited.

Be a responsible ownership.

  1. Provide adequate food, shelter, medicine and living space for your pet.
  2. Spay or neuter your pet.
  3. Use a leash when your pet dog is out of the compound.
  4. Provide a loving environment for your pet.
